Bound by Grass at the International Festival KARAKULIT

At the end of this April, the second edition of the International Shadow Theatre Festival Karakulit took place in Pécs, Southern Hungary. The fact that six years passed between its first and second edition also testifies to the uniqueness of this gathering of ensembles from Europe and Asia. Divadlo Líšeň took part in the showcase for the second time, as the only representative of Czech theatre. This year with the production Bound by Grass, which was presented twice (in English with Hungarian subtitles).

Divadlo Líšeň at the Shadow Theatre Festival

We are glad that we received responses and reflections on our work at the festival. Although our work is written about, it is not usual for us to get feedback from authors who are directly engaged in shadow theatre and truly understand it. The Italian director Fabrizio Montecchi shared his observations with us.
